Herby's Tale was designed and painted by professional artist Gayani Ariyaratne.
Design summary
About her design inspiration, Gayani said, “Inspired by the lush gardens and parks of Canary Wharf, and the wonderful connection between dogs and green spaces. This design is influenced by my visit to the diverse plant-filled Crossrail Place Garden and nearby parks which have native herbs and plants from around the world.”
Sensory items
We asked our artists to come up with a scent and a touch item that relates to their design to give a multi-sensory perspective to their concept. Some of these items will be incorporated into our sighted guide and sensory tours. Gayani's sensory items are:
- Touch item: Herbs and flowers.
- Scent item: Rosemary and thyme.
